College Ministry
The Poughkeepsie are is home to many great institution of higher learning, including Vassar College, the Culinary Institute of America, Marist, and Dutchess Community College. The college years are ripe for spiritual growth and we welcome all who wish to join us at our church. Our primary ministry to students is twofold: the public teaching of God’s Word in which the good news of Jesus Christ is proclaimed, and the relationships in our community of believers that gather to be built up by that Word.
The following are ways tthat we can help students plug into the life of the Church:
- Rides to Church: We offer rides to church each week for worship and Bible study
- College/Young Pro Lunches: Several times during the semester, we spend time getting to know one another and the pastor. These lunches are usually on a Saturday or Sunday's after church.
- College Small Group: Meeting during the Semesters.
- One-on-one Discipling: We encourage students to meet regularly with a member of the church to study the Bible and grow in understanding the good news of Jesus.
- Campus Engagement: VRBC equips and mobilizes students for discipling and evangelism on campus at Vassar College, CIA, and other area Campuses.
